We present here the scientific background of the AutoVysion.

It is not needed that the user becomes an SPR expert for knowing all kind of underlying principles e.g. tuning the ligand density, biphasic behaviour etc.  

The AutoVysion works automatically. The user just sees the SPR curves and the end results.
Typically, from a biochemical perspective, a run goes like this:

Backbone of system

The backbone of the system is the application of a gradient of ligand density in order to create always the right conditions and to generate the results fully automatically.

Also, to land in de right conditions, other systems do require multiple sensors and a lot of time to tune the ligand density. This issue is solved in the AutoVysion and in the CellVysion by fully automatically generating a gradient ligand density on the sensor surface and calculating the results.

Performance

The AutoVysion gradient performs all operations automatically: repeated mixing of the analyte to reach the optimal condiotions for determining kinetics (Lef hand side diagram) and concentration (Right hand side diagram).

Combining photonics with biochemistry

The technological basis is laid by combining photonics (SPR) with biochemistry. We obtain real-time results within minutes, and we need only very small sample volumes, on top of that, this system is Label-free.

We create a functional community with our users. In these communities, users can give feedback, which will be used by other users and ourselves to develop applications.

Sustainability

As part of Vysens’ mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer, we are working on sustainable solutions to help our clients and ourselves in reducing the environmental footprint.

Our systems are not cooled by water, they have a low energy-consumption and only need small sample volumes; this avoids our customers to generate large quantities of material and reduces the use of disposables.

The results of our systems are supporting medical specialists in taking early decisions, hence avoiding unnecessary medical treatments and the energy and disposables associated with treatments and enabling patient well being.

If the device is not functioning anymore– our clients can send it back and they will immediately receive a replacing system until we know the cause of failure.
